Susan Farrell, 63, of South Beloit, IL, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL following a courageous three and a half year battle with cancer.
She was born August 5, 1945 in Stevens Point, WI the daughter of Lambert and Joan Hintz Kluck. Sue was a 1963 graduate of Maria High School, Stevens Point, WI. She married Donald “Jim” Farrell on February 18, 1994 in Dubuque, IA.
Sue was employed by Georgia Pacific in Nekoosa, WI for 30 years and Carpet One in Janesville, WI for 10 years. She loved spending time with her dear family and close friends. Sue also enjoyed her card club, bowling team and casinos.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Donald “Jim” Farrell of South Beloit, IL; three step children, Donald (Julie) Farrell and Richard (Pam) Farrell both of Belfair, WA, and Greg (Tara) Farrell of Adams, WI; three grandchildren, Taylor, Kallysa and Macy Farrell; three sisters, Pat (Gary) Phillips and Karen (Doug) Pagel both of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Mary (John) Jungbluth of Eau Claire, WI; three brothers, David (Dorothy) Kluck of Beaver Creek, MN, Dan (Colleen) Kluck of Rosholt, WI, and Mark (Mary) Polebitski of Waupaca, WI; sister-in-law, Sara Kluck of Steven Point, WI.
She was predeceased by her father, Lambert Kluck, mother and step-father, Joan and Stanley Polebitski, and brother, Richard Kluck.
The family would like to give a special thank you for the tender care and love given by special friend, Judy Darnell and the staff at OSF and St. Anthony’s Cancer Care Center, Rockford, IL.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in St. Thomas Catholic Church, 824 E. Grand Ave., Beloit, WI with Father Steve Kortendick officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the church.
