Mary M. Degris, 102, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, April 3, 2009 in Sun Valley Terrace.
She was born October 30, 1906 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Francis Yancauski Degris. Mary attended Beloit Schools.
Mary worked for Barbara Coleman in Rockford, IL, for many years as a secretary in the engineering department. She loved to tell stories of growing up and living in Beloit. Mary loved working in her yard, flowers, animals, people and going to the Waverly Ballroom dancing. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Survivors include her many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Ann and an adopted brother, Charles.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in St. Thomas Catholic Church 847 E. Grand Avenue, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
