Patricia S. Eddy, 88, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Pioneer Court.
She was born March 19, 1921 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Samuel and Clara Hertel Slaymaker. Patricia was a graduate of Beloit High School and attended University of Wisconsin Madison. She married Clare Eddy on July 31, 1941 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on July 27, 1991.
Patricia was employed by the Beloit Police Department as a dispatcher, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed buying and selling antiques. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include her children, Clare “Kay” (Frank) West of Mequon, WI, John “Jack” (Nancy) Eddy of Tracy, CA, Sam (Connie) Eddy of Boardman, OH, Fred (Gina) Eddy of Geneva, IL, Sarah Eddy of Janesville, WI, and Mike (Andrea) Eddy of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Jon and Jenni West, Kirstin, Andrew, Jessica, Jim, Bayden, Kenneth Eddy, Carla (Darrick) Wiseman; three great grandchildren; brother, John (Shirley) Slaymaker of Beloit, WI; sister, Elly (Dale) Ihlenfeldt of Milwaukee, WI.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Steven Slaymaker.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 in St. Thomas Catholic Church 824 E. Grand Avenue, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Regional Hospice.
