Calvin Curtis “Old Man Curt” Fitzpatrick, 72, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1936 in Monroe, MI, the son of Roy Lee and Dovie Fowler Fitzpatrick.
Survivors include his seven children, Gloria Fitzpatrick of MI, Richard (Ruth) Fitzpatrick of CA, Calvin Dale (Julie) Fitzpatrick of MN, Jack Fitzpatrick of MN, Judith Fitzpatrick of MI, Lisa (Jerry) Ambrose of MN and Calvin Curtis Fitzpatrick Jr. of MI,; five step children, Butch, Bill, Rip, Rhonda, and Pam all of MI; several grandchildren and step grandchildren; one great grandchild; six brothers and sisters, Lucy (Dave) Duane of MI, Roy (Nancy) Fitzpatrick of Rockford, IL, Andy Hummell of AZ, Amos (Laura) Hummell, Timmy Hummell, and Leonard Hummell all of Beloit, WI; many nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Joyce and Nancy, two brothers, Denny and Kenny.
Curt was an independent contractor of many trades. He helped build the Beloit Memorial Hospital. Curt enjoyed fishing, bike riding, and being artistic, especially with his paintings and drawings. He was known for the boats he built. Curt loved spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2160 St. Lawrence Avenue, Beloit, WI. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
