James “Shorty” Fazel, 67, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, July 24, 2009 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born March 23, 1942 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of Forrest and Lily Barber Fazel. James married Rosa Donehue on February 6, 1965 in Rockford, IL.
James was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL, retiring on December 31, 1999. He liked spending time with family and friends, camping and fishing especially with his granddaughter, Neely.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rosa Fazel of Beloit, WI; children, Dawn Schnell of Rockford, IL and Tina (Jeff) Theisen of Holmen, WI; grandchildren, Neely Theisen, Anthony Schnell and Christian Schnell; his mother, Lily Donehue of Beloit, WI; brother, Forrest (Ann) Fazel of Rice Lake, WI; sisters, Jeannette (David) Biggs of Madison, IN and Aleta Brockman of Beloit, WI; special sister-in-law, Dottie (Joel) Truitt of Hampton, SC; special family, Charlie (Liz) Crosby of South Beloit, IL, Bubber (Sue) Crosby of Hampton, SC, June Sauls of Hampton, SC and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; special friends, Don (Maxine) Parlow, Dave (Dena) Parr, Bob (Linda) Dates and Dave and Nancy Hepler.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kodras, Dr. Leo, Dr. Patel, Dr. Lim and the Beloit Regional Hospice for the care given to James.
He was predeceased by his father, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Major David L. Biggs officiating. Burial will be in South Carolina at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in his name to Beloit Regional Hospice.
