Everett A. Bussey, 83, of Caledonia, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2009 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born September 24, 1925 at home in Manchester Township, IL, the son of Forrest R. and Olive J. Griffis Bussey. Everett attended Hononegah High School, Rockton, IL. He married Harriett Roberts on October 3, 1946 in Rockton, IL. She predeceased him on October 15, 1979.
Everett was a lifelong dairy farmer of Manchester Township, IL.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Michael) Bowers of Cambridge, WI; two sons, Roger (Cindi Meier) Bussey of Caledonia, IL and Raymond (Marlene) Bussey of Roscoe, IL; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Frank) Wilary, Stacey Bussey, Emily (Dennis) Heaberlin, Ryan Bussey, and Sean Bussey; four great grandsons, Brandon, Benjamin and Carson Wilary, and Gavin Heaberlin; sister, Eileen Delaney of Roscoe, IL; two nieces, Sandra (Keith) Hall and Carol (Bruce) Hahn.
He was predeceased by his parents and granddaughter, Stephanie Bussey.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 in Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with Rev. Ian Stirrat officiating. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery, Caledonia, IL. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Harlem-Roscoe Rescue Squad.
