Barbara Ann Bandt, 52, of Janesville, WI died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in Beloit Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born April 23, 1957 in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Fred H. and Judy Bird Behling. Barbara was a 1975 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Robert C. “Bob” Bandt on November 4, 1989 in Trinity Lutheran Church. He predeceased her on June 25, 1990.
Barbara had been employed by Fairbanks Morse Company, First American Credit Union, Freeman Shoe, and Rock Savings Bank. She loved quilting, crafts, cooking, and going to all of her nieces and nephews school activities. Barbara was a member of the Rock Valley Quilters Guild and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her parents, Fred and Judy Behling of Beloit, WI; two sisters, JoAnn (Dennis) Leppla of Beloit, WI and Teresa (Larry) Popanz of Shopiere, WI; nieces and nephews, Steve Leppla, Jenny (Jim Plasky) Leppla, Adam Popanz, Laura Popanz, Randy Popanz, and Katie Popanz; special friend, Andy (Karen) Dylak; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A special thank you to all the special care nurses at Beloit Memorial Hospital and to Beloit Regional Hospice.
She was predeceased by her husband.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 300 High Street, Clinton, WI with Pastor William Uffenbeck officiating. Inurnment will be in the Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, WI. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service in the church.
