Pearl M. Eilers, 79, formerly of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 in Trinity Community Center, Madison, WI.
She was born May 11, 1930 in Ireton, IA, the daughter of Fred and Maggie Renken Dirks. Pearl married Albert Eilers on September 10, 1951 in Ireton, IA.
Pearl was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Grand Marsh, WI and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beloit, WI.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Albert Eilers of Friendship, WI; children, Laurie Gundry of Merrill, WI, and Alan (Laurie) Eilers of South Beloit, IL; daughter-in-law, Vicki Eilers of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Thomas, Daniel and Katie Gundry, Adam and Ryan Eilers; sisters, Myrna Howard, Carlyle “Swede” Dirks, and Della Busch; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Ronald Eilers, son-in-law, Paul Gundry, brothers and sisters, Howard, Darryl, Reva and Mildred.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Edward May officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
