Caroline Rose Cipra, 86, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center, Clinton, WI.
She was born April 17, 1923 in Prairie du Chien, WI, the daughter of David and Rose (White) Gentes. Caroline was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Prairie du Chien and St. Francis Nursing School, La Crosse, WI. She married Raymond V. Cipra on May 8, 1946 in Prairie du Chien, WI. He predeceased her on February 6, 1968.
Caroline was employed by Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2306 Auxiliary and the Nurses Luncheon Organization. Carrie loved dancing, singing with the Sweet Adelines, going on trips up North with her friends, and teaching her grandkids how to play card games.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Robert) Tyler of Beloit, WI, Raymond J. (Diane) Cipra of West Lafayette, IN, David M. (Lynn) Cipra of Arena, WI, and Daniel G. (Beth) Cipra of Montgomery Village, MD; grandchildren, Andrew (Kendall) Cipra, Matthew (Meredith) Cipra and Benjamin (Alli) Cipra, Jessica (Christian) Lemberg, Colin Gharrity, Erin (John) Russell, Aamon and Noel Cipra, Kaitlyn, Madelyn and Rebecca Cipra; great grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson, Wyatt and Logan; sister, Rose Marie (Lyle) Dworak of La Crosse, WI; sister-in-law, Josie Cipra of Wauzeka, WI; nieces, nephews and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, infant son, Gerald Cipra and sister, Norma Day.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gold and staff and Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center for the care given to Caroline.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
