Lawrence “Larry” D. Adams, 81, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, January 15, 2010 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born February 16, 1928 in Menasha, WI, the son of Lewis and Eunice (Garner) Adams. Larry attended Cameron High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Larry married Alfreda "Freda" Longseth on October 18, 1947 in Pine City, MN.
Larry was employed by Mid States Concrete and Bob Kimball. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Alfreda "Freda" Adams of Beloit, WI; three children, Janice (Richard) Mayo of Janesville, WI, Larry (Darcy) Adams Jr. and Dennis Adams both of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Lori, Jeffrey, Jada and Michael; four sisters, Louise Rader, Laura (Richard) Bjorke, Lilah Adams and Loletta (Al) Ferber; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, Lyle, Lloyd, Leo and Louie Jr., five sisters, Lillie, Leona, Leola, Lilah and Lauretta.
There will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cameron, WI. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be given in his name to the American Cancer Society or Beloit Regional Hospice.
