Obituary:
Max L. Winchell, 51, of Delavan, WI, died Friday, January 29, 2010 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. He was born March 4, 1958 in Denver, CO, the son of Roland and Geraldine (Strassburg) Winchell. He was a 1976 graduate of Gilman High School, Gilman, WI. Max married Cynthia Wildenberg on August 19, 1978 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, WI. In 1993 they were blessed with a daughter, Megan. She was their love and their life. Cynthia predeceased him on June 11, 2008 Max was a truck driver for Roehl Trucking, Scott Forge, Kolnik and most recently for Blain’s Farm & Fleet. He was a 4-H leader and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Max enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his daughter, Megan Winchell at home; in-laws, Mrs. Arlene (Gary) Kozenka of Wheeler, WI, Mrs. Mary (Eugene) Redieske of South Beloit, IL, Ms. Carol Wildenberg of Elk Mound, WI, Ms. Jeanette Wildenberg of Kansas City, MO and Mrs. Delores Hahn of Clinton, WI, Mr. Ronald (Kay) Wildenberg of Beloit, WI, and Mr. Earl (Sue) Wildenberg of Menomonie, WI; numerous cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Stanley, WI. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a Scripture service at 5:00 p.m. A memorial will be established for a scholarship fund for Megan.
