Christiane B. Shepardson, 88, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Sterling, IL.
She was born January 17, 1922 in France, the daughter of Victor and Paule (Combien) Brunswick. Chris was a graduate of Brother Dutton School and a 1941 graduate of Beloit High School. She married Dwight L. Shepardson on October 11, 1941 in St. Jude Catholic Church. He predeceased her on April 15, 2000.
Chris was employed by First National Bank, Drs. Sweeney and Kishpaugh and Fairbanks Morse Company. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Marian Guild CCW.
Survivors include her sister, Dolores McDonnell of Sterling, IL; nephews, Steve (Nydia) Sweeney of Beloit, WI, Mark (Mary) Sweeney of Grand Rapids, MI, Jim (Joan) Sweeney of Davenport, IA, Bill (Beth) Sweeney of Indianapolis, IN, Tim (Lana) Sweeney of Rockfalls, IL and Thomas Sweeney of Sterling, IL.
She was predeceased by her parents, nephew, Brian Sweeney, great nephew, Connor Sweeney and brother-in-law, Larry Sweeney.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 in the St. Jude Catholic Church, 747 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Catholic Church or Brother Dutton School.
