Obituary:
Dr. Adam Benedict Hahn, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born April 16, 1931 in Akron, OH, the son of Adam and Kathrina Payerle Hahn. Dr. Adam was a graduate of the University of Ohio in Columbus and received a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He married Delores Andrews on November 11, 1960. Dr. Hahn worked in Clinton, WI, for 2 years and then opened his own clinic on Madison Road in Beloit, WI. He practiced veterinarian medicine at the clinic for 39 years until his retirement in 1999. Dr. Hahn was honored for 50 years of membership in the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association. He was an active member in the Humane Society and assisted with the building of the current Humane Society facility in Janesville, WI. He was also a member and past president of both the Kiwanis and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Dr. Hahn was a member of the Rock River Anglers. He was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church. His favorite past time was fishing and he loved going to the Mississippi River and the Madison Lakes. Survivor’s include his wife, Delores Hahn of Beloit, WI; four daughters, Ann (Charles) Marchand of Sykesville, MD, Patricia (John) Winter of Northrop, CO, Rachel Hahn of Beloit, WI, and Martha Hahn (Craig Hulburt) of Englewood, CO; three grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Winter and Kathrina Hahn. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in St. Jude Catholic Church 747 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Beloit Regional Hospice, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
