Shirley Jean Petersen, 68, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 6, 1937 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Allen and Lucy Fowler Stiegman. Shirley married John Petersen on August 15, 1985 in Janesville, WI.
Shirley was employed by Regal Beloit – Durst Division in Shopiere, WI and most recently by Ace Hardware for the past ten years. She was a member of Second Congregational Church. Shirley was a member of the Women of the Moose Beloit Chapter 56. She enjoyed crafts including crocheting. Shirley loved to bake for her family, especially cookies.
Survivors include her husband, John Petersen; seven children, Owen Hagen, Jr., Cheryl Hagen-Koch and Gena (Jim) Lancaster all of Beloit, WI, Lance Hagen of Ft. Meyers, FL, Janice (Doug) Ennis, Marietta Rose Kulas and Mark Petersen all of Beloit, WI; 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2006 in Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with Reverend Douglas Gray officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The Women of the Moose College of Regent service will precede the funeral service at 10:15 a.m.
