Douglas B. Kampe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Douglas Brian “Doug” Kampe, 42, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at UW Madison Hospital. He was born on December 28, 1979 in Scottsdale, AZ. Doug was raised by his grandparents, Lonnie “Poppy” and Wanda Kampe. He was a 1998 Horizon High School, Scottsdale, AZ, graduate. Doug married Melissa McCullough on September 30, 2006 in Fountain Hills, AZ. Doug was currently employed by Shine Fusion as a Procurement and Logistics Specialist. Before moving to WI, he was employed by Universal Laser Systems and Kyocera Solar Inc. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, especially for the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox and Cubs. Doug enjoyed going golfing. He loved spending time with his son, especially teaching him to do different things. He loved Wisconsin weather – yes, that includes the snow and riding his John Deere tractor and lawn mower. Doug enjoyed museums, movies and music. He loved history but he was most interested in military history. Doug was a huge pet lover for the current pets he had to the past ones that have moved on. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Kampe; son, Preston Kampe; mother-in-law, Winnie McCullough; brothers-in-law, Todd McCullough and Brad (Rachelle) McCullough; nephews, Logan and Gavin; other relatives and friends. Doug was predeceased by his grandparents, Lonnie “Poppy” and Wanda Kampe; father-in-law, Darrell McCullough. There will be a Celebration of Life for Doug at a later date. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
