Jeffrey W. Waters Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jeffrey William Waters, 67, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was born on March 9, 1955 in Boscobel, WI, the son of Maurice and Ellen (Holman) Waters. Jeff was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Claudette Jean Meyers on March 12, 1987 in Rockford, IL. She predeceased him on September 7, 2012. Jeff was formerly employed as a detective for over 20 years. He attended Zion Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Jeff was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the movies, and watching Star Trek becoming a “Trekkie”. He had an extensive collection of baseball caps. Survivors include his constant companion, Marlene Witt and her children, Robert Witt and Camela (Charles) Svoboda DVM; grandchild, Rosa (David) Fagerstrom; great grandchildren, Sarah and Levi Fagerstrom; siblings, Diane (Leo) Homison and Clifton Vaughn Elmer; brother-in-law, Richard (Margaret) Meyers; and sister-in-law, Darlene Lund. Jeff was predeceased by his parents; step daughter, Donna Bonifacio; brother, David Lund. A Private Family Service for Jeff will be held. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
